The Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame was established by Junior Achievement of Newfoundland and Labrador (JANL) in 1990 to honor the individuals who have significantly contributed to the growth and development of enterprise in Newfoundland and Labrador.
For over a decade, the JANL Business Hall of Fame has served as a celebration of the province's business leaders; those individuals who through their vision and determination have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and have made outstanding contributions to the development of business in Newfoundland and Labrador. By honouring the accomplishments of the men and women inducted each year into the Business Hall of Fame, the best in business are presented to our youth as worthy role models. To date, 56 business leaders have been inducted as laureates into the Newfoundland and Labrador Business Hall of Fame.
Miller Ayre serves as Honorary Chair of the Business Hall of Fame 2008. Mr. Glenn Barnes resumes the role of chair for the third year in a row.
The JANL Business Hall of Fame event has been branded the premier celebration of excellence in the province. The generous support of Sponsors and Governors contribute to the success of this event.
In 2008, the Induction Gala takes place on May 29th at the St. John's Convention Centre.
